Point-Of-Sale

The problem: Many retailers, particularly national chains, do not allow manufacturer-created point of sale marketing materials on the sales floor. But Definitive was launching a new product line that was rich in features and technologies that were not immediately apparent to the causal shopper. We needed to communicate the product's sales story to both salespeople and consumers.

The solution: Inspired by the little propaganda booklets tied onto high-end liquor bottles we produced these 12-page booklets that were tied by string onto the product at the factory. Every single production unit had a tied on booklet. More often than not the booklets were left on the display units. Even when they were removed they served a purpose by educateing store staff. The booklets also served a purpose when the customer unboxed the speakers at home by reinforcing the purchase decision. Worth every darn penny of cost.

If you are ready to bring this kind of innovative thinking into your point of sale and packaging activities, please call (410) 458-3176 or email us.

As Polk reached into broad appeal product categories such as headphones, radios and docks it made sense to expose and sell those products to the general public. In late 2012 Polk opened an experimental store in the Southwest Airlines terminal of Baltimore's BWI airport. The displays within the store are great examples of our point of sale expertise.
